1st and 10

It's August and that means it's time for the boys of the ocean state to strap up and hit the grid iron again. The RIIL has realigned and consolidated the teams into three 14 team divisions. This will lead to new and exciting match ups in which teams that are not familiar with each other will play. This site is designed for fans of RIHS football to discus and enjoy the worlds greatest game. No personal attacks on kids, leave that to their coaches. (JK sort of) If one would like to talk about strengths and weaknesses of a certain team concentrate on position groups or left or right sides of OL and DL. Please no foul language and this is to be a group for playful banter not aggressive trash talking so please be polite. First note of business is that the RIIL's choice to have 2 division 1 super bowls is the essence of whats wrong with Rhode Island football. Football is an all or nothing game and should teach kids lessons that though you may have put all you can in to something, it doesn't always work out. The consolation game should be boycotted by which ever teams are determined to go there as this is a game based off the dominance of two schools ( In reality one) and the other teams in D-1 should be offended by the very idea. I know this will not happen but for the sake of RI football this should stop after this season. Alright here is my super early super bowl picks by division based on little to nothing known about the current state of each high school team around the state.
D-1 Hendricken over Cranston East
D-2 Moses Brown over Shea
D-3 Lincoln over Burrillville
Tell me what yall think and start the discussion.
